Euan Burton Quartet featuring Phil Bancroft

Friday 27th March

The star of last year’s festival when he appeared alongside Ari Hoenig, we welcome Euan back with his own project. Fresh from a record date in New York with Mark McKnight, Will Vinson, Mark Ferber and Sam Yahel, Scotland’s preeminent young bass player appears here with a new project featuring one of Scotland’s most esteemed saxophonists. Phil Bancroft has worked alongside some of the worlds most exciting musicians including Joe Lovano, Kenny Wheeler, Geri Allen and Oliver Lake while his own release ‘Headlong’, featuring Mike Walker and Thomas Strønen was released to critical acclaim in 2004. We also welcome Tom Gibbs on paino and Doug Hough on drums.

Admission £10/£5
